Athina Couper

Hi, I’m Athina and as the founder of Nobel Hair Design I am extremely passionate about ensuring that my team and I consistently deliver outstanding service and results to our clients.

After 17 years working as a Stylist in New Zealand, London and Sweden I really wanted to create a salon that reflected the values of excellence and innovation whilst maintaining an atmosphere that is welcoming and relaxing. In 2005 my dream became Nobel Hair Design, designed and built with my husband Brent.

Brent and I have lived in Beachlands since 2003 and have two gorgeous boys. I met my Kiwi husband whilst working in London at various prestigious salons, including the famous Tony & Guy.

Before that I worked at one of Sweden's top salons after completing three years of training at the Swedish Hairdressing Academy.

I have always been passionate about my career and have been privileged to apply my skills and experience in a wide variety of ways: as a Senior Stylist and Manager at various salons; as a Stylist backstage for NZ s L'Oreal Fashion Week and the regional Miss Sweden competition, even styling Bjork's hair for her 2000 film Dancing in the Dark.

Its obvious that I love what I do and I hope that you'll give us, at Nobel Hair Design, the opportunity to share that with you.
